why does the temperature not rise till all the ice melts even through heat is continuously supplied .what is this heat energy called​

The temperature does not increase because the ice is absorbing the energy in the form of latent heat of fusion to over come the force of attraction aming the particles of Ice. This heat is hidden and is called latent heat of fusion.
