Greetings..!

A body is made up of molecules which are attracted to each other  by inter molecular forces of attraction.  When heat is supplied to a body, its particles(molecules) gain energy and move vigorously. The temperature of the body does not change during this process  because it is used up in breaking down the inter molecular bonds.
