magrove trees grow in coastal wetlands or swamy areas as they are adapted living to it
=>those plants need more water
=>at the same time , as the roots are present in the water, the water particles occupy the air spaces in the soil.
=>thus ,this makes the roots incapable of breathing ,absorbing of water and inorganic nutrients.
=>thus the plants will die.
=hence theses where the plants have ariel roots are above the soil.this makes the plants breathe easily
