The upper of mushroom rocks doesn't erosion:
- The top of Mushroom rock is not eroded because wind blows with more progression at the bottom of the structure than the top.
- Mushroom rock or rock pedestal is a structure that resembles a mushroom as the name suggests.
- The structure is formed as a result of erosion caused by wind.
- However the wind erosion is unique in its nature, the progression at which the wind blows is different at the bottom and at the top.
- Abrasion by wind is more common at the lower height which is closer to the ground level, hence we can visualise more erosion at the bottom.
- Also the sea waves so the sea waves doesn't reach at the top so they were not erode.
- As a result, the top part of the structure is less prone to erosion.
- Famous example of mushroom rock is in Timna Park, Israel.
