Volume of water doesn't change when we add tablespoon of sugar or salt because their is intermolecular space between the water molecules and the sugar salt breaks them so small that they got inserted between the intermolecular gap between water molecules.

that's why the volume of water doesn't increases when we add tablespoon of sugar or salt in water.
