why does the volume of water not increase when sugar is added to it ​

Answer:

When sugar is added to water it dissolves and occupies these empty space, thus the volume does not increase as sugar molecules are occupying vacant space and not adding to the existing space,and this will happen till saturation and after saturation no sugar will dissolve in water and further adding sugar to the water
