why does the wall not move even though we exert force on it?​

The wall doesn't move because it has more force than we can apply to stand stationary. ... The muscle fibers in our hands are being used to exert force on the atoms of the wall, but since they attraction is greater than the force exerted, only some of the atoms of the wall are displaced and no macro effect is seen.
