It is generally a misconception that wind brings rain.
When too much rainy cloud is formed at a place they stop the hot air to reach the stratosphere which further increases the heat. Hence air gets more lighter and more hot due to which they start passing through the cloud. And to fill up the space left by the hot air cold wind blows even faster and bring the rainy dark clouds causing rain.
