acceleration = change in velocity / time

we know that velocity = displacement / time

so acceleration = displacement / time   / time

i.e.,  acceleration = displacement / time* time

so here in the denominator the unit of time occurs twice

Answer:

Acceleration (m/s^2)=change in velocity(m/s)/time taken(s).

Explanation:

here when we divide the units of change in velocity and time taken we get m/s^2(i.e unit of acceleration) . so time occurs twice in acceleration.
