when we eat food, it contain sugar than the bacteria present in our mouth break down the sugar to form acid. tooth decay start when pH is lower than 5.5 this is because the acid is strong enough to attack the enamel of our teeth and corrode it , this start the tooth decay.

When the pH of mouth is less than 5.5 then it starts decaying teeth because when we eat anything their particles stick in our teeth and bacteria starts converting it into acid .So, as we know that acid become harmful as much as the pH decreases and it starts decaying our teeth. And for better teeth health we should brush our teeth regularly.
