Why does tooth decay start when pH of mouth is lower than 5.5?

because it become acidic


then they start decay the truth

and jums start attach the tooth .


that's why tooth decay start when pH of mouth is below the 5.5

This is due to degradation of sugars be bacteria present in mouth which remains on mouth after eating . Bacterial action results in formation of acid which increases pH of mouth.. To neutralize it, we use toothpaste (a base)
