Transpiration normally occurs during night.....its basically the process where they give out excess CO2 and water vapour.......Henceforth produces cooling effect.

The process by which green plants release water drop by drop through their stomata is called transpiration.

This liquid water when released in atmosphere , takes latent heat from the nearby plants to evaporate . This provides a cooling effect to the plant .
