Umbrella changes colors vibrantly in wet weather
WRITTEN BY MAGGIE O’NEILL
As the month of April, with its ever-popular showers, is soon upon us, you can enjoy a color-changing umbrella available through Signals.com. This umbrella, available for $29.95 online at Signals, features a lovely black and white fabric all around its frame. The black provides a dramatic backdrop to the white print, which boasts flowers, trees, plants and a single dragonfly. As the umbrella gets wet, the pattern begins to change. The white transforms into pastels of pink, blue, yellow and green.
In fact, the wetter the umbrella becomes, the more vibrant the colors appear. This is true whether you are out in the rain or in the snow — although the colors do take longer to present when the precipitation is white instead of clear. When the umbrella dries, the colors fade and revert back to their original whites again.
