Since before current is passed through the circuit the resistance is 0

It is must that V-I graph should pass through the origin. This is because ,as ohm's law states, potential difference(V) is directly proportional to the current(I) applied. Hence if we plot the V-I graph the slope joining the coordinates will pass through the origin.
