Virus are the obligate parasite which do not have cell and are exception of cell theory. They only consist of a protein coat and genetic material which can be DNA or RNA.
They are also the connecting link between living and non living because when they are outside the host body they are dead but when they enter inside host they become living.
They are very small microscopic so we can say virus as microorganism.
