why does water get cold in an earthen pot

The earthen pot has many small pores in it. Due to heat outside the water in the pot heats up and it uses the temperature of the pot to evaporate which leaves the the water inside the pot cool.

akhilkumarreddy: no the earthen pot has some type of bacteria,it will absorb the cool ness of air molicuals so it is cool
