The water of the pond is constant in a particular area.It doesn't move. When the sun shines brightly it heats the upper surface of water as well as earth's surface.when the temperature increases upto boiling point it changes water into vapour form as its common phenomenon that heating water at 100°C it changes from liquid state to vapour state.
