why does water not stagnate in forests?

as we know , forests are full of trees. So when it rains , the water seeps into the soil, also the roots of the trees absorb this water and so water does not get stagnated.

As crust of the forest is made of soil which covers the roots of the trees containing micro and macro minerals absorbs water and helps in the process of photosynthesis
