Water on the floor disappears after sometime due to evaporation. Evaporation is the process of transformation of water to water vapors in the room temperature. Evaporation is a surface phenomenon. It is different from boiling.

The water will evaporate and/or be absorbed. If the water is on something porous such as dirt or wood or some stone, the water will sink into the floor. Even if the water is on a non-porous substance like tile or linoleum, it will eventually evaporate into water vapor
