I assume it to be the poem recited by Jacques in the play “As You Like It”.
The stage is being used as a metaphor for the lives we lead in this world. In this play of life, our birth signifies the entrance of an actor onto the stage of life whereas our death signifies the exit from this stage. The subsequent phases of our life, i.e , infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age are the various acts taking place in this play of life, where each moment is being enacted by us, the actor of this play.
In a nutshell, The Seven Ages is actually a mesmerising poetical depiction of life by the connoisseur of Classical Literature, William Shakespeare.
