Answer: Gases move from high-pressure areas to low-pressure areas. And the bigger the difference between the pressures, the faster the air will move from the high to the low pressure.

causes :

  • wind blows on the earth surface on order to maintain a balance in atmosphere
  • the more the difference of pressure between the high pressure center and low pressure center, the more speed of wind
  • when air is heated becomes light and moves upward when air is cold it becomes heavy and tends to settle down
