The Zamindar wanted to avoid the harassment from police so he decided to burn Kadambini`s body without conducting any ceremony.

Kadambini was a widow. She was the daughter-in-law of the Zamindar of Ranihat, Sharadashankar. She had no family both from his father`s as well as husband`s side as one by one everyone had died. Her only relative was his brother in law`s youngest son.

One day during a monsoon night Kadambini all of a sudden died. Her heart stopped beating that night. The Zamindar wanted to avoid the investigation of police so decided to cremate her body in haste.
