Zinc reacts with sulphuric acid to give hydrogen but not with copper because
copper is below hydrogen in reactivity series and it cannot displace hydrogen hence no reaction take place

zinc react with sulphuric acid to give hydrogen gas but copper does not because the zinc is more reactive metal than that of zinc so zinc replaces sulphur instead of copper.

hope it may help you

in image there is the list of from highly reactive metal to less reactive metal
