Leaching is defined as the washing away of the nutrients of soil by running water .Black soil does not undergo intense leaching because it has water retention capacity and can hold water for long time and generally black soil is found in the region of high temperature and low rainfall so it undergoes less leaching as there is less effect of running water .

Leaches occur when the air spaces in soil become filled with water and gravity begins to mov water downwards. In other words soil leaching require more rainfall and it takes place at its dissolve lime and calcium from soil into water. And black soil is moisture retentive, therefore, black soil not get leached.
