Why doesn't ethanol turns blue litmus red ?

its because ethanol is an acid........
all acids turn blue litmus paper red............
its due to their chemical properties present in them.

Ethanol is an aliphatic alcohol and its pH is almost equal to 7 so it can not turn blue litmus to red.
