why doesn't space have a bright colour if it has so many stars that provide light? even tho there's no atmosphere present , the light from stars not need any scattering / atmosphere to make the space appear bright . the conclusion is why not bright ?

the stars are so away from each other (as the space is measured in light-years even 1 light-years is very big) so that's why it is dark in colour ...
