why doesnt nitrogen show allotropy even if phosphorus does

In group 15 Nitrogen & Bismuth does not show Allotropy because of small size and high electronegativity  that's by nitrogen doesn't show allotropy and also because of N-N bond is weaker than P-P bond because of high inter electronic repulsion among non bonding electrons due to small bond distance
