The birds don't get electrocuted when they land on electric wires because there body are not a inculator of electricity. There cells and tissues do not allow the electron to go inside there body.

when a bird perched on a single wire, it's two feets are at the same electric potential,so the electron in wire has no motivation to travel through the bird's body. no moving electron means no electric current. the bird is safe, for the moment anyway
