Why don't birds sitting on wires get an electrical shock?

When a bird sits on an electric wire, current doesn't pass through its body as the bird is not a part of a complete circuit. So they don't get electric shock.

But when they sit on two wires, the circuit gets completed and current flows through their body and they get electric shock.
