Why don't metals break when pounded into sheets or drawn into wires?

Due to the mealieabiliy(a property of metal that can be beaten into thin sheet)metals cannot break when beaten into thin sheet an drawn into wire(ductility )....

Second reason is due to thier matter particles doesn,t have space in them becuase thier is no space between the atoms to move .....

That is the reason they dont break
