Stars are twinkling because of the reflected light reaches our eye through different gas layers in the atmosphere. The stars are lightyears away from us . So they appears too small. If the reflected light deviates by several gases they are not appeared and when these reflected ray reaches our eyes they appears . This causes the twinkling effect.

But planets are nearer and thus appears bigger than stars. So when the reflected light from some points do not reaches our eyes the other points will reflect the light which reaches our eyes as it is big. That's why planets does not appears twinkle.

Please mark it brainliest if it helps you.

Thank you.
