why don't the present shapes of the continents fit perfectly into the supercontinent?

This is probably because now several portions of the continents have chipped off, due to various reasons like natural calamities and all. This the reason the continents don't fit perfectly in the ancient super continent.

as many of the continents are collided with other continental plates and there structure got changed.But not all continents got different structures.For example. south america and African continental plates will be fitted exactly.
