why don't we keep sour substance in brass and copper vessels

Sour substances contains organic acids in them.They may react with metal to form salts.
These salts r dangerous and poisonous.So sour substances,curd shouldn't kept in broad and copper vessels.

Curd and sour substances contains acids. Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc. As acid reacts with metal to foam salt and water, curd and sour substances should not be kept in vessel made of metals.
