Anyone with a large extended family has probably heard various aunties and grandmothers (it always seems to be the women commenting on this for some reason) crooning about how so-and-so looks just like her mother, how little so-and-so has his father’s eyes and his mother’s nose, how you can totally tell that so-and-so is the child of such-and-such because so-and-so looks just like such-and-such when he/she was a little boy/girl.
