Why don't we see even a faint image of our face in the newspaper?​

In case of a newspaper, the in homogeneities of the surface cause diffused reflections. So the incident parallel beam is scattered in all directions. Hence no image is seen

Newspaper has a rough surface. It cannot produce regular reflection. That is why our image cannot be seen.
