Why don’t we use series arrangement of electrical appliances like bulb, Television, fan andothers in domestic circuits?

In this arrangement, if any one of the component stops working,then the circuit gets broken up and none of the device will work. All the appliances have only one switch due to which they cannot be turned on or off separately. The appliances do not get the same voltage (220V) as that of the power supply line.

If we arrange in series then the appliances will not work properly and if the one appliance stops working then whole circuit will break
