why dont birds get electrocuted when they land on electrical wires?

body of birds becomes insulator due to presence of feathers and insulating bones but when it rains water makes it body conducter and thus it gates a shock..

Birds do not get get electric shock due to two reasons ---
1) First of all the electric path is not completed with the ground.
2) Secondly, the body of birds do not offer electric current an easy path to travel.We can say that body of birds provide greater resistance to current than the wire they are sitting upon.
