why dont letters on key board are not in alphabetical order

when the first keyboard was invented having top row all vowels and the consonent keys were beneath the vowel row. which create many difficulties . August Dvork of washington states university , state in an interview about the difficulties faced using that keyboard. So he gave the idea about the modern keyboards that all the keys are arranged not in alphabetical order it should have to arrange in such a way that all the keys were easy to reach.
