during heavy physical exercise,most of the energy in our muscles is produced by aerobic respiration.anaerobic respiration bring s about partial breakdown of glucose to form lactic acid. The lactic acid accumulates in muscles causing muscle cramps.
glucose(1molecule)------ pyruvate (2 molecules)------------(in absence of oxygen in muscle tissue)--------2 lactic acid+ 2 ATP energy

=>now he stars breathing anoerabically
=>during this The muscles begin to do anaerobic respiration, because oxygen is not present.
=>now lactic acid gets accumalted in the muscles.this process is lactic acid fermenation
=> it is a process that takes place when oxygen is not present .
