why dosn't a beam of light not pass trough salt solution ? Explain

it does not contain any free ions and gaps between atoms is less

As particles of solutions are very small. It is less than 1 nanometre in diamter So, the beam of light doesn't pass through the salt solution and it does not show tyndall effect.
