After electrolysis of water , oxygen gas is formed at anode and hydrogen gas is formed at cathode.

The hydrogen gas formed at cathode is double than the amount of oxygen formed because hydrogen(H2) is twice the oxygen(O) in water.

Hydrogen - H2

Water - O
