Its just a simple and cheap method to lower the temperature of our body because when we experience fever our body temperature rises.. so, just to make it back to its original and normal level doctors often advice to put a wet cloth on head!!

the doctor advice to put wet clothes on head because the water evaporate by taking heat from head and feeling better and decrease the temperature of head by taking heat from head for evaluation
