why dry ice does not wet the surface on which it is kept?

Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. It is special because it doesn't melt. Dry iceat atmospheric pressure goes straight from solid for to gas form. This is called sublimation.

dry ice isn't ice in reality it's solidified form co2 if its temperature would be increased it would directly change into gas and gas never Wets surface as it is formed from reverse sublimation
