When dry raisins are put in plain water for some time, they swell up as water will move from higher concentration to lower concentration and the process is called osmosis. If raisins are not placed in concentrated salt solution, they will shrink..............

Hello

As the raisins are dry, it means that water content is less in raisins.

When we keep raisins in water then osmosis takes place. The plasma membrane takes water inside from outer environment which leads to swelling of raisins.
