Hi friend.
Dry raisins undergo a process called osmosis. Osmosis is a process by which the molecule of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one.
Osmosis can be devided into 2 types : Endosmosis and exosmosis.
Dry raisins swell up because they undergo Endosmosis. When the raisin is placed in a hypertonic solution i.e. water then the water penetrates through the semipermeable membrane i.e. the skin of the raisin and hence the raisin swells up.
Hope this answer is clear enough to understand ^_^

As you notice that when our family members put raisin in water, after some time it get swell up because due to process of osmosis as concentration of the water is higher then the dry raisin ,so when we put in the water it started to move from higher concentration to lower concentration by this process the raisin swell up.
