Answer:

During pregnancy , the process of menstruation stops. This is because the blood is addressed to nurture the baby.

The embryo gets nutrition from the mother's blood with the help of a special tissue called placenta . This is a disc which is embedded in the utrine wall. It contains villi on the embryos side of the tissue.

After the delivery of the baby ,i.e, after 9 months, the blood flows out of the body , which is no longer needed.
