Why echidna and platypus are conaidered as mammals still they lay eggs

Echidna and platypus are both egg lying mammals. They are considered as mammals because they posses mammary glands, to feed their young ones. Mammary glands are the unique feature of mammals.

Echidna and platypus lay egg's but are stll considered as mammals as they have mammary glands through which they feed their young onesso they are called as mammals all mammals feed their young ones through mammary glands
