Why effective capacitance increase when power factor is unity?

Mostly our AC loads are inductive, and therefore due to the magnetizing effect of thw coil, power is required, so a bunk ofcapacitors in parallel with the inductive load will provide reactive power for inductors to operate, hence increasing the active powerand thus power factor.
