Why elections conduct free and fair ?

Because free and fair elections are only considered as the democratic form of elections, even many countries in this world hold elections and say that they are democratic in the mean of conducting elections but check weather the country hold a democratic election, we should first know weather the election are free and fair
Therefore free and fair election are must
