Answer:

It means that the force which is responsible for the electric field is conservative in nature. The field where the conservative force is felt is called conservative field. And, conservative force is the force which when used to do a work in moving a particle from one point (say A) to another (say B) is independent of the path taken to go from one point to another i.e, no matter which path you follow from moving A to B, you would still do the same amount work.
